KS1 and KS2 SATS - 2016

This year, children in Y2 and Y6 will be the first cohorts to take the 'new' SATs. These tests are based on the new national curriculum and will be more challenging than previous years.

I would recommend that all parents/carers take the time to view the sample SATs papers.

Click here to view sample papers for KS1 and KS2.

Y6 children who take their SATs in 2017 will have to resit the tests in their new secondary schools if they do not achieve expected outcomes.

Y1 will have a phonics check, this check is set by the Department for Education.

This summer, SATs results will be reported in a completely new format, with levels having been abolished.

Years 3-5 will take NFER (National Foundation For Educational Research) tests. These tests are used internally to measure progress and are age standardised.

If you have any questions relating to SATs, then please make an appointment to meet with your child's class teacher.
